FLYERS (27-23-3) at FLAMES (27-20-8)

Last 10: Philadelphia 6-4-0; Calgary 1-6-3.

Season Series: This is the lone meetings between the teams. They last faced each other on March 5, 2009, when Olli Jokinen scored twice in his first game with the Flames as Calgary cruised to a 5-1 win at the Wachovia Center.

Big Story: Calgary will have a different look on Monday night, as GM Darryl Sutter acquired Niklas Hagman, Matt Stajan, Ian White and Jamal Mayers from the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday in exchange for Dion Phaneuf, Fredrik Sjostrom and prospect Keith Aulie.

Team Scope:

Flyers: Philadelphia won for the fourth time in six games on Saturday afternoon with a 2-1 victory on home ice against the New York Islanders. It was just what the Flyers were hoping for as they now begin a three-game road trip.

"I thought we came out and played a strong first period, probably our strongest, and the third period was better than the second," Philadelphia coach Peter Laviolette said. "I guess the biggest concern I have is with the second period. We were just kind of flat shift after shift, and there's too much at stake."

Flames: On the eve of the biggest trade in the NHL this season, Calgary snapped a nine-game losing streak with a 6-1 win against the Edmonton Oilers at the Pengrowth Saddledome on Saturday night. Flames captain Jarome Iginla had two goals and two assists.

"It was a big game for our team," said Iginla, who had only one goal and six points in his previous 13 games. "There was a lot of talk, we knew neither team had won in a long time. It's three games in a row with a point, so it's something to build on. It's the right direction and it feels good tonight."

Who's Hot: Flyers forward Jeff Carter has notched at least a point in five of his last seven games. … Iginla has a three-game points streak, notching three goals and four assists along the way.

Injury Report: Flyers defenseman Ryan Parent is expected to be out until March after undergoing back surgery. … Flames forwards David Moss (shoulder), Nigel Dawes (leg) and Craig Conroy (knee) are out indefinitely.

Stat Pack: Saturday marked the first time Calgary has scored five goals in a game since Nov. 30, a 5-0 win in Nashville. It was also the first time since Oct. 24 it has netted five or more goals at home.

Puck Drop: "Any time you get that call -- and this is the second time for me -- it comes as a surprise. Obviously the first thing you think about is family and logistics in regards to what you're going to do and how to figure that all out, but the most important thing is it'll be easy for us go to the rink and have 23 friends instantly." -- New Flames defenseman Jamal Mayers
