2007-08
Compiled a 12-9-2 record, 2.91 GAA, .907 save percentage and one shutout in 28 games for the Flyers…Was named First Star at Toronto on Jan. 5 after stopping 54 of 56 shots faced to record 3-2 win...The 56 shots faced set a new team record for most shots against (55 at Montreal on Jan. 3, 1977)...Niittymaki's 54 saves set a new team record for saves in a game... Was named First Star at Florida on Dec. 30 after stopping all 38 shots faced to record 1-0 win.

In three seasons with the Phantoms (2002-03 through 2004-05), Niittymaki compiled a 71-55-12 record and 2.19 GAA in 147 regular season games…His 2.19 GAA as a Phantom is the lowest career GAA in franchise history…Is second on the Phantoms All-Time List in games (147), shutouts (13) and wins (71)…2006-07:Game vs. NY Rangers on March 31 was 100th career NHL game...Did not dress vs. Boston on March 10 (Missed game due to the birth of his daughter, Frida Olivia, on March 9)...Was named Second Star at Atlanta on Jan. 28 after stopping 37 of 38 shots faced to record 2-1 win...Win at Atlanta on Jan. 28 ended his 15-game winless streak (0-13-2)...Missed three games from Dec. 28 through Jan. 4 due to a slight left hip strain sustained at Florida on Dec. 27...Started 16 straight games from Nov. 20 through Dec. 27 (3-11-2 record, 3.44 GAA and .899 save percentage over span)…2005-06: Was tied for third among rookie NHL goaltenders in wins with 23…His 23 win were the most by a Flyers rookie goaltender since Ron Hextall won 37 games during the 1986-87 season…Was named NHL Defensive Player of the Week for period ending Jan. 8 (shared with Colorado's David Aebischer) after posting a 3-0-0 record, 1.33 GAA and .953 save percentage...
