Flyers Community Relations

"Our Greatest Goal is Assisting the Community."

The Philadelphia Flyers and Phantoms are dedicated to improving the Greater Philadelphia Region, which has supported us so well over the years, through our leadership of and assistance with various community events and programs. The Community Relations and Fan Development Departments focus their efforts on programs that assist in the development and positive growth of children, using the sport of hockey as the means to touch the lives of others.

Specific community activities include hospital visits, youth hockey clinics, holiday volunteering, educational assemblies and seminars, and donations of autographed and promotional items to charitable organizations. With support from the entire Flyers and Phantoms organizations, we strive to make our community a better place to live.

Flyers' Kids in the Community Photos

The Flyers Community Teammate Program was developed to recognize an individual or group for their positive contributions to the local community.

The Philadelphia Flyers are accepting nominations for this exciting program. Anyone can nominate a neighbor, friend or relative who is a firefighter, policeman, rescue worker, or just an everyday hero like a teacher or community leader who is making a difference. The program awards two tickets to an everyday hero in the community to a Flyers home game and recognition on the Arenavision scoreboard at the game.

Click here to download the Nomination Form. Nominations must include the person's name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, name of hometown newspaper, and why the individual should be chosen by the Flyers as a Community Teammate. Entries can be submitted via e-mail to flyerscommunity@comcast-spectacor.com. Nominations via e-mail must include all information requested on the nomination form.

Face Off for Fitness

The Philadelphia Flyers and Phantoms are pleased to offer a Face Off For Fitness program for your school, recreation center or after school program. Face Off For Fitness targets students in grades 1-5 and has a goal to stress the importance of living a healthy lifestyle.

Members of the Flyers-Phantoms Fan Development department will conduct this 45-minute program during a normal physical education class or after school period. The objective of the program is to heighten awareness and provide information to help kids make positive nutritional and behavioral choices. Kids will be taught about proper day-to-day nutrition and will be informed about several ways in which to be physically active.

All kids in attendance of the program will be involved first hand with the physical activities, receive fitness and nutritional tips from some of their favorite Flyers and Phantoms as well as walk away with special Flyers and Phantoms giveaways to take home.

If you wish to book a Face Off for Fitness program for you school our organization, please fill out the Face Off for Fitness Request Form. If you have any questions, please call 215-218-4334 or email us at jtempesta@comcast-spectacor.com.

Donation & Appearance Requests
The Philadelphia Flyers are committed to positively influence and support the community beyond just hockey. We believe that in keeping with the Flyers tradition, we have a responsibility to give back to the community that has supported us for so many years. However, because professional sports entities receive numerous requests for appearances and donations, the following guidelines must be followed. These guidelines assure fairness while maximizing the benefits the Flyers can provide the community.
