Flyers re-sign goaltender Ray Emery
Flyers also add goaltender Rob Zepp to a one-year, two-way contract
The Philadelphia Flyers have re-signed 6-2, 196-lb goaltender Ray Emery to a one-year contract and have signed 6-1, 194-lb goaltender Rob Zepp to a one-year, two-way contract, according to general manager Ron Hextall.
 
Emery, 31 (9/28/1982), returns to the Flyers after appearing in 28 games for the club in 2013-14.  He posted a record of 9-12-2 with a 2.96 GAA, .903 save percentage and two shutouts.  Emery signed a one-year contract with the Flyers on July 5, 2013 and previously played for the club during the 2009-10 season.  In 57 career games for the Flyers, Emery has a record of 25-23-3 with a 2.78 GAA, .904 save percentage and five shutouts.
 
Emery has appeared in 256 NHL games with the Flyers, Ottawa, Anaheim and Chicago, winning a Stanley Cup with the Blackhawks in 2013.  He has a career NHL record of 135-75-21 with a 2.66 GAA, .908 save percentage and 16 shutouts.
 
Zepp, 32 (7/9/1981), has spent the last seven seasons playing in Germany for the Berlin Polar Bears (Eisbaren Berlin) in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL), the highest professional hockey league in Germany.  In 2013-14, Zepp recorded a 2.32 GAA and .927 save percentage in 38 games.  A native of Newmarket, Ontario who also holds German citizenship, Zepp has represented Germany at the IIHF World Championships on three occasions (2010, 2013, 2014).
 
Zepp was originally drafted by Atlanta in the fourth round (99th overall) of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, and was re-drafted by Pittsburgh in the fourth round (110th overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. He played four seasons for the Florida Everblades of the ECHL from 2001 to 2005 and also saw stints with Lowell of the American Hockey League in the 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons.  He moved to Europe in 2005, spending two seasons with SaiPa Lappeenranta in Finland before moving on to Berlin.  Zepp played his junior hockey for the Plymouth Whalers of the OHL.
