Mason returns in net as Flyers look to even series before heading back to New York





Through the first three games of the series, Martin St. Louis leads all players with five points (2g-3a) and is one of three players in the series to have recorded a point in all three games thus far (Stepan & Nash)… Jakub Voracek, Claude Giroux and Scott Hartnell lead the Flyers with two points each in the series… Both the Flyers and Rangers have 13 players on their roster to have recorded at least a point… Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonagh leads all players in time-on-ice in the series, averaging nearly 25 minutes per game (24:54), with the next closest Ranger nearly three minutes less than him (Girardi - 21:58)… Andrew MacDonald leads the Flyers in TOI, at just over 22 minutes per game (22:05), while Sean Couturier leads all forwards on both teams in the series in time-on-ice, averaging 20:25.





The Flyers own an all-time record of 33-35 in Game 4s, and a 13-14 mark in Game 4 when they trail a series 2 games to 1… Should the Flyers go on to win Game 4, they have won 23 of the 32 series (23-9), but own a 15-21 series mark when dropping Game 4… The Flyers have lost four consecutive Game 4s in the playoffs, following a streak where they won four consecutive Game 4s, dating back to the 2010 Playoffs.




The Flyers have only lost back-to-back games on home ice once in their last 17 regular season home games… They owned a 5-3-0 record in games following a loss on home-ice in which they have failed to score more than one goal… All six of the Flyers goals scored in the series have come from different players, while the Rangers have had eight different players post at least one goal with only two players (St. Louis & Stepan) scoring more than once… The Rangers have recorded 26 minutes in penalties, while the Flyers have recorded 42 penalty minutes… The Rangers have won 15 of their last 20 regular season and playoff games against the Flyers, dating back to Mar. 6, 2011 and have allowed two goals or fewer in 16 of the 20 games, while recording at least four goals in 10 of the 20 contests.
 




The Flyers starting goaltender returns between the pipes for his first start in 12 days, since leaving the Flyers-Penguins game on Apr. 12 after the second period… Mason tied a career high in wins this season, posting a 33-18-7 record with a 2.50 goals-against-average and .917 save percentage in 61 games, which also matched his career-high set in his rookie season (2008-09)… Tonight is also his first start in the playoffs since Game 4 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals vs. Detroit on Apr. 23, 2009… Against the Rangers, Mason went 2-1-0 this season with a 2.01 goals-against-average and .937 save percentage, and in his career, owns a 4-1-1 mark with a 2.49 GAA and .928 save percentage.
Nash is tied for second on the Rangers in points in the series with four assists, but has yet to score a goal… He leads the Rangers and all players in the series with 18 shots on goal… Nash also ranks third among Rangers forwards in average time-on-ice per game with over 19 minutes (19:11)… During the regular season, Nash led the Rangers with 26 goals and was second in shots (258) despite appearing in only 65 games… Nash will be playing in his 20th career Stanley Cup Playoff game tonight and has posted 12 points (2g-10a) in his previous 19 games… Against the Flyers, Nash averages nearly a point per-game in the regular season with 14 points (7g-7a) in 15 games.
