FIVE THINGS: Game 3 - Flyers vs. NY Rangers
Flyers look for series advantage as they return home

The series shifts to Philadelphia for Game 3, where the Flyers posted a 24-14-3 record and  were tied for the fourth-most wins on home-ice in the Eastern Conference… Coming down the stretch, the Flyers posted a 6-2-2 record in their last 10 home games of the season… The Rangers had the most road wins of any team in the Eastern Conference during the regular season (25-14-2) and were tied for the second-most road wins in the entire NHL… Dating back to 1987 Patrick Division Semifinals, the Flyers own a record of 6-1 in the playoffs at home against the Rangers… The Rangers have a 93-150 all-time playoff record on the road, while the Flyers have an all-time mark of 125-84 on home-ice… Against the Blueshirts, the Flyers own a 17-10 mark playing the Rangers at home in the playoffs.

The Flyers own an all-time even record of 34-34 in Game 3s, and own a 15-18 mark in Game 3 when a series is tied, 1-1… In series terms, the Flyers own a 25-10 series record when winning Game 3 and a 13-20 mark when losing in Game 3… Since 2008, the Flyers are 6-6 in Game 3s… The Rangers have won eight of the last 12 playoff series in which they split the first two games, including five of the last seven playoff series in which they split the first two games at home… Against the Rangers, the last two times the series has been tied, 1-1, the Flyers went on to win both series, but own an overall series record of 2-3 when the series is tied at one game apiece.

Claude Giroux (56 pts) is one point shy of tying Eric Lindros (57 pts) to rank 10th in Flyers history in playoff points… The Flyers are 2-for-4 (50%) on the power-play in the series thus far… Twelve of the 18 Flyers on the roster for Games 1 & 2 have recorded at least a point in the series, with only Scott Hartnell recording more than one point (2a)… Ten of the 18 players on the Rangers roster have recorded at least a point in Games 1 & 2 with six of those players posting more than one point… Claude Giroux led the Flyers at home this past season in scoring with 45 points (15g-30a) to go along with a +14 rating in 41 home games, while Derek Stepan led the Rangers on the road with 34 points (9g-25a) in 41 games.

Emery is coming off a 31-save performance to earn a 4-2 win in Game 2 on Sunday, which included stopping all 24 shots in the second and third period… The last time Emery started three consecutive games was over a year ago, when he won three straight from Apr. 6-9 with Chicago… A win tonight would give him consecutive playoff victories for the first time since May 12-14, 2007 with the Ottawa Senators… Emery has a 3.01 GAA in the series and a .913 save percentage through Games 1 & 2.
St. Louis is one of five players on the Rangers roster to have points in both games of the series thus far, sharing a tie for the team lead with three points (1g-2a)… He posted his first playoff goal in Game 2 since May 25, 2011 with the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final against Boston… Over his career, St. Louis averages over a point per-game pace with 71 points, including 34 goals and 37 assists, in 65 games to go along with a +6 rating… In regular season play, he also averages well over a point per-game with 58 points (15g-43a) in 46 games for an average of 1.26 PPG against the Flyers.
