FIVE THINGS: Flyers vs Carolina Hurricanes
Flyers set to hand out Awards in regular season finale against the Canes

The Flyers play their final game of the regular season and have won six of their last eight season ending games… It will be the 25th time in the team's 46 seasons of play that they end the regular season on home-ice… The Flyers own a 12-9-3 record in the final game of the season when they are at home, compared to a 9-8-4 mark when the season ends on the road… The Flyers have won six of their last seven season ending games when they are at home… Overall the Flyers have a 21-17-7 record in their regular season finale.

The Flyers come into today having won, 4-3, in a Saturday matinee at Pittsburgh, which clinched 3rd place in the Metropolitan Division and assured them a First Round match-up with the NY Rangers in the Playoffs… The Flyers own a 6-2-1 record in their last nine home games and are tied for the fourth-most wins on home-ice in the Eastern Conference (24)… Carolina has dropped three of their last four games and has failed to score more than two goals in a game in each of their last four games… Despite that, the Hurricanes come into today having won four of their last six games on the road, earning points in five of those six games with a 4-1-1 record.

Carolina has won each of the first three meetings this season and will look to sweep the season series from the Flyers for the first time in Hurricanes team history… All three games were decided by one goal… The Flyers have earned at least one point in 25 of the last 29 meetings, going 21-4-4, between the two clubs… Claude Giroux leads the Flyers in the season series with three points (1g-2a), while Scott Hartnell leads with two goals in the three games… Jiri Tlusty leads Carolina with a goal and two assists in the season series, while goaltender Anton Khudobin is 2-0-0 with a 1.50 GAA and .929 save percentage against the Flyers this season… The Hurricanes have not allowed more than three power-play opportunities in a game to an opponent in their last 11 games… The Flyers have scored a power-play goal in four of their last five games, going 4-for-15 (26.6%) in that stretch.

Streit played the hero in Saturday's win over the Penguins, scoring the game-winner in overtime… The goal was his 10th of the season, the most since he had 11 in 2009-10 with NY Islanders… Streit is also riding a five-game point streak, recording seven assists and eight points in that span… Streit leads the Flyers defense in scoring with 42 points (10g-32a) and is one of seven Flyers to have played in all 81 games so far this season… Against the Hurricanes, Streit is scoreless in the season series this year, but has 17 points (5g-12a) in 29 career games.
Skinner comes into today's game scoreless in his last three games, but prior to that, Skinner posted at least a point in seven of eight games, including a six-game point streak in which he had four goals and seven points… He leads the Hurricanes roster with 31 goals and ranks second with 52 points in 70 games… His 31 goals ties his career-high set in his rookie season, which won him the Calder Trophy as NHL's Rookie of the Year in 2010-11… In 12 career games against the Flyers, Skinner averages nearly a point-per-game with nine points (4g-5a).
