Flyers set to hand out Awards in regular season finale against the Canes

The Flyers play their final game of the regular season and have won six of their last eight season ending games… It will be the 25th time in the team's 46 seasons of play that they end the regular season on home-ice… The Flyers own a 12-9-3 record in the final game of the season when they are at home, compared to a 9-8-4 mark when the season ends on the road… The Flyers have won six of their last seven season ending games when they are at home… Overall the Flyers have a 21-17-7 record in their regular season finale.
The Flyers come into today having won, 4-3, in a Saturday matinee at Pittsburgh, which clinched 3rd place in the Metropolitan Division and assured them a First Round match-up with the NY Rangers in the Playoffs… The Flyers own a 6-2-1 record in their last nine home games and are tied for the fourth-most wins on home-ice in the Eastern Conference (24)… Carolina has dropped three of their last four games and has failed to score more than two goals in a game in each of their last four games… Despite that, the Hurricanes come into today having won four of their last six games on the road, earning points in five of those six games with a 4-1-1 record.
