1. YOU AGAIN?!
The Flyers will face the Capitals in the second of their home-and-home series, which began with a 5-4 comeback win in OT on Sunday… Both teams own a 2-1-1 record in the season series with tonight being the fifth and final meeting of the season between the two clubs… The Flyers have won the last two meetings against the Caps… The two teams have combined for seven or more goals in each of the four meetings so far… The Capitals have scored 13 of their 17 goals, and the Flyers have scored 11 of their 14 goals in the second and third periods… Jakub Voracek (4g-2a) & Claude Giroux (3g-3a) each have six points in the season series, while Joel Ward (3g-3a) and Nicklas Backstrom (2g-4a) each have six points for the Caps in the series… Tonight is also the 199th all-time meeting against the Capitals (104-68-19-7) and 102nd meeting on home ice (62-31-6-2).

2. FRESH FACES IN NEW PLACES

The Flyers will have a new look on the blue line with newly acquired defenseman Andrew MacDonald coming over in a trade with the NY Islanders yesterday… MacDonald currently leads all NHL players this season in blocked shots (198)… He led the Islanders defense in scoring with 24 points (4g-20a), which is three shy of his career-high of 27 points in 2010-11, and led all Islanders in time-on-ice, averaging 25:25 per-game… The Capitals come into today's game with a new look as well after acquiring 6-4, 247-lb forward Dustin Penner who posted 32 points (13g-19a) in 49 games for Anaheim… The Caps also acquired forward Chris Brown, defenseman Rostislav Klesla from Phoenix, with forwards Martin Erat & John Mitchell going over to the Coyotes.

3. THIS, THAT & THE OTHER
The Flyers are winners of two straight games and six of their last seven contests and have scored three goals or more in five of those games… The Flyers have now scored at least a goal in the third period in 10 straight games, posting 17 goals, which is 51.5 percent of their goals in the 10-game span (17 of 33) and are tied for second in the NHL for most goals scored in the third period (71)… Despite the loss on Sunday, the Capitals did earn a point in the standings and remain two points behind the Flyers in the playoff chase - the Caps have earned at least a point in the standings in nine of their last 11 games, going 7-2-2… The Caps have scored four or more goals in four of their last five games.

4. Player to watch FLYERS: Vincent Lecavalier (C: 40)
Lecavalier's game-winner over the Caps in OT on Sunday was his second goal in as many games… He also has a three-game point streak with three points (2g-1a) and has found the scoresheet in six of his last eight games, recording three goals and three assists for six points in that stretch… He is tied for second on the Flyers in power-play goals scored this season (7)… Lecavalier has had a lot of success against the Caps after all those years playing in the old Southeast Division - he has 35 goals and 36 assists for 71 career points in 79 games against Washington.

5. Player to watch CAPITALS: Troy Brouwer (RW: 20)
Brouwer posted an assist in the Caps last game, giving him points in four of his last five games recording five goals and six points in that span… Brouwer ranks third on the Caps with 16 goals on the season with half of his goals coming on the power-play, which is second on the team… Against the Flyers, Brouwer has nine points (2g-7a) in 14 career games… He also was a member of the Chicago Blackhawks team that won the Stanley Cup over Philadelphia in 2010.
