GAME NOTES  I NHL.com Preview
1. WELCOME TO BLACK FRIDAY
This is the seventh straight season the Flyers have hosted a 'Black Friday' game - they own a 2-1-3 mark in that span, but have dropped four of the last five meetings on Black Friday… The Flyers have had a game the day after Thanksgiving each season since 1997, hosting 12 of the games, while being on the road twice - they own a 7-3-3 record (along with one tie) in those 14 contests… This marks the third straight Black Friday game that the Flyers will play a Canadian team.

2. WINNY IN PHILLY
This is the second and final meeting between the Jets and Flyers… The Jets took a 3-2 shootout win in the first meeting on Nov. 15… Of the eight previous meetings with Winnipeg, five have been decided by one goal… The Flyers own an overall record of 3-3-2 in the previous eight meetings with the Jets and have combined for a total of 60 goals (WPG: 31, PHI 29) for an average of 7.5 goals-per-game… The Flyers come into today having lost two straight games, while the Jets come into Philly riding a two-game winning streak.

3. THIS, THAT & THE OTHER
The Jets have had five of their last nine games decided by a shootout, including one with the Flyers… The two teams come into today with identical 7-4-2 records in the month of November… The Flyers have now gone eight consecutive games scoring on the power play, going 9-for-28 (32.1 percent) in that span… Following today's game the Flyers will embark on a six-game, 13-day road trip… Over the course of the next 40 days, the Flyers will spend 28 days away from Philadelphia - a total of 14 of their next 18 games.

4. Player to watch FLYERS: Claude Giroux - (C) #28
With an assist last game, Giroux is riding a six-game point streak where he has recorded two goals and five assists for seven points - it is his longest points streak since he went six straight last season (Feb. 18-27), which is one shy of his career-mark of seven straight (Jan. 14-25, 2011)… Giroux leads the team in assists (14) and points (17)… Against the Jets, Giroux has 17 points (6g-11a) in 18 career games (includes Atlanta franchise).

5. Player to watch JETS: Dustin Byfuglien - (D)  #33
The 6-5, 265-pound defenseman posted both goals for the Jets in the first meeting of the year between the two clubs… He has also recorded at least a point in five of his last six games, which began with the Flyers game on Nov. 15… During that stretch he has five goals and nine points, including four multi-point games… He leads the team in assists (15) and ranks second overall on the club with 21 points, while being the average time-on-ice leader by over two minutes with 26:38 per-game, which is also tied for fourth in the NHL… Against the Flyers, Byfuglien has 11 points (4g-7a) in 14 games.

QUOTABLE
"We have to handle adversity better than we do right now. Teams are going to come hard at us and you have to be able to handle that, be composed and stick together as a team out there and play."
- Flyers head coach Craig Berube
