1. ISLAND LIVING
The Flyers have had a 15-3-0 record at Long Island over the last six seasons of play (2007-08), and since the 1999-2000 season have posted a mark of 29-7-1-2 in 39 games at Nassau Coliseum… Overall against the Islanders, the Flyers went 2-1-1 last season and were 45.5 percent (5-for-11) on the power-play and a perfect 11-for-11 on the penalty kill.

2. EXPECT ANOTHER CLOSE ONE
Five of the Flyers nine games on the season have been one-goal games, while the Islanders have had nine of their 10 games, including their last seven contests, decided by a one-goal margin… The Islanders have had four games decided past regulation play, while the Flyers are one of five NHL teams to have not played in either overtime or a shootout this year.

3. THIS, THAT & THE OTHER
The Islanders currently own the NHL's best power play at 30.3%, going 10-for-33… They have scored a goal on the power play in each of their last five games, going 7-for-18 (38.9%)… The Flyers have killed off their last seven penalties… Ray Emery has an overall record of 6-0-0-1 against the Islanders with a 1.69 goals-against average… John Tavares has a point in nine-straight games (4g-8a), matching the longest point streak in the NHL this season (Jiri Hudler) and marking the second-longest point streak of his career… Mark Streit played five years (2008-2013) for the Islanders, recording 179 points, and was the team captain for the last two seasons.

4. Player to watch FLYERS: Claude Giroux - (C) #28
Giroux led the 2012-13 season series against the Islanders with six points (2g-4a), and the Islanders are one of five teams in which Giroux averages over a point-per-game pace in his career with 28 points (7g-21a) in 25 games… Giroux has had multi-point games in four of his last six meetings against the Islanders and has a total of 10 multi-point games against the Isles.

5. Player to watch ISLANDERS: Frans Nielsen - (C) #51
Nielsen is off to the hottest start of his eight-year NHL career, posting 14 points (6g-8a) in 10 games to currently rank tied for fourth in the NHL in scoring… The Danish center has goals in each of his last three games and seven points (3g-4a) in that span as well… Nielsen has had trouble against the Flyers, posting just nine points (5g-4a) in 30 career games and going scoreless in the four-game season series last year.

QUOTABLE
"Teams in the east, they're located so close to each other that you have Flyers fans everywhere and it's going to be great. It's an old rink but it's got a little something to it. Hopefully we'll have a lot of Flyers fans and it's going to be an exciting Saturday night in Long Island."
- Former Islander, Mark Streit
