1. ROAD OPENER
The Flyers own a 4-1-1 record in their last six road-opening games of the season with their only regulation loss coming last season (5-2 at Buffalo)… All-time, the Flyers own a 20-14-11 record in road-openers… The last time the Flyers scored more than three goals in their road-opener was the 1995-96 season - a 7-1 victory at Montreal… Four of the last six road-opening games have been decided by one goal… Tonight is just the third time in franchise history that the Flyers have opened the season by playing two Canadian teams, the other times coming in 2007-08 and 2002-03 when they played three straight teams from Canada.

2. TONIGHT'S OPPONENT
The last time the Flyers played their road-opener at Montreal was 1995-96 when they earned a 7-1 victory… This is only the third time in Flyers history that the club has had their first road game of the season at Montreal (1995-96 & 1983-84)… Last season, the Flyers went 2-1-0 against the Canadiens as the teams recorded a combined 23 goals (PHI 13, MTL 10) through the three games… Jakub Voracek led the Flyers with six points (2g-4a) in three games against Montreal last season… Carey Price lost both games against the Flyers last season, allowing 10 goals on 62 shots for a 6.05 goals-against average… All-time, the Flyers are 68-76-30-4 in 178 games vs. Montreal, who are one of only two franchises which the Flyers have an all-time losing record (Boston).

3. A FAMILIAR FOE
Tonight marks the first time that Danny Briere will face the Flyers after being bought out of his contract this past summer… Briere signed an 8-year contract with the Flyers on July 1, 2007 and spent six seasons in Philadelphia where he played the most games of his career (364), posting 124 goals and 159 assists for 283 points in the regular season and adding another 37 goals and 35 assists in 68 Stanley Cup Playoff games, which included leading all players in the 2010 playoffs with 30 points (12g-18a) in 23 games when the Flyers reached the Stanley Cup Final.

4. Player to watch FLYERS: Vincent Lecavalier - (C) #40
Lecavalier picked up his first point as a Flyer in the season opening game, setting up Brayden Schenn on the power play… He is currently the Flyers leader for most points against the Canadiens in his career… He has 19 goals and 42 points in 53 games against the Habs, including a goal and an assist in three games against Montreal last season.

5. Player to watch CANADIENS: Max Pacioretty  - (LW) #67
Pacioretty led the Canadiens in scoring last season with 39 points (15g-24a) in 44 games.. He posted six of those points against the Flyers, recording a goal and five assists in three meetings last season… Overall, Pacioretty averages over a point-per-game against the Flyers in his career with nine assists and 12 points in 11 games.
