Samuel Morin, the Flyers first round Draft pick, 11th overall.
• In his second QMJHL season with the Oceanic, Morin recorded 16 points (4-12--16) and accumulated 117 penalty minutes in 46 games before a January injury sidelined him for the balance of the regular season. He returned to the Rimouski lineup for the playoffs, recording seven points (1-6--7) in six games.

• He competed for Team Canada at the 2013 Under-18 World Championship, finishing with two points (0-2--2) and a plus-six rating in seven games to help Canada win the gold. Morin also suited up for Team Quebec at the 2012 Under-17 World Hockey Challenge.

• In 2011-12, Morin was named to the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s All-Rookie Team after posting eight assists and 57 penalty minutes in 62 games..

• Morin had the highest peak power output on the Wingate bike test at the 2013 NHL Combine, registering 15.8 watts per kilogram of body weight.

According to NHL Director of Central Scouting, Dan Marr:
“When you get a guy that’s that big, that rangy, can make the first pass out of the zone and has a good stick to defend and he’s got a little bit of a physical element ... that’s a pretty nice package.”

About an hour and a half until the first round gets underway and teams are starting to arrive at the Prudential Center.
