Game Preview: Phantoms vs. Connecticut Whale

1. ON THE SECOND DAY
The Phantoms will look to avenge a 3-0 shutout loss last night to the Whale in Connecticut… This is also the second meeting of six throughout the year between the division rivals… Adirondack is 5-7-0 in the second game of back-to-back nights and owns a 6-5-0-0 record when playing on Saturdays.

2. MAGIC NUMBER IS THREE
The Phantoms have 10 of their 13 victories on the season when they score three or more goals, going nearly unbeatable when doing so, owning a 10-1-1-0 record so far… When their opponent scores three or more, the Phantoms record falls to 4-15-2-0.

3. HOME ON THE RANGE
The Phantoms have fired over 30 shots on net in each of their last four games on home ice…  They have had 30 shots or more in 14 of their 16 games at home and have topped 40 shots in a game at home on four occasions.

4. Player to watch PHANTOMS: Brayden Schenn
Schenn currently has a three-game scoring streak on home ice, posting two goals and three points at the Glens Falls Civic Center… He continues to lead the team in all offensive categories: goals (13), assists (19) and points (32), and is one of four Phantoms to have appeared in all 32 games so far this season.
 
5. Player to watch WHALE: Cameron Talbot
Connecticut's player to watch is the man who stopped all 25 shots from the Phantoms in last night's 3-0 shutout win, his first of the year… Talbot has 12 of the Whale's 14 victories on the year, going 12-14-1 with a 2.64 goals-against average and .917 save percentage… Talbot began the season by winning his first three games and seven of his first 11 starts.
