at
Connecticut Whale (13-17-2-0: NHL - New York Rangers)

1. WATCH LIVE ON TCN
For the third time in the last three weeks, Flyers fans can watch their top affiliate LIVE on TV beginning at 7 pm… Tonight's game will be broadcast on The Comcast Network and can be seen on channel 856 in HD as the Phantoms take on the New York Rangers top affiliate… This is the third of five broadcasts with the next Phantoms TV-game taking place on Sat., Jan. 12 against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

2. FIRST CONTACT
Despite being in the same division (Northeast), this is the first of six meetings of the season between the Phantoms and Connecticut Whale… It is also the first of a home-and-home series on back-to-back nights with the Whale… The two teams met in the preseason, with Connecticut skating away with a 3-1 victory… In the last five seasons at Hartford, the Phantoms are winless with Connecticut/Hartford WolfPack going 6-0-0-0… The Connecticut Whale have lost four of their last five games, while the Phantoms hope to snap a three-game winless skid of their own.

3. ADDING AND SUBTRACTING
The Phantoms have added new players to the roster since their last game. Most notably rookie forward Marcel Noebels, who was recalled from the ECHL Trenton Titans on Wednesday… Noebels led the Titans in scoring with 30 points (11G-19A) in 31 games and was named the ECHL's Rookie of the Month for December with nine goals and 21 points in 14 games… Also names that could appear for Adirondack are Blake Kessel (D) and Ian Slater (F) also recalled from Trenton… Shane Harper (F) was also loaned to the Titans.

4. Player to watch PHANTOMS: Marcel Noebels
All eyes will be on the 20-year-old Noebels, who could make his AHL debut after spending the first half of the season playing in the ECHL with Trenton… He led the team in scoring with 30 points, which also ties for the lead among all rookies in the League… He recorded points in eight of his last nine games, including an eight-game scoring streak which was snapped last game, where he had 13 points (5G-8A) during that stretch.

5. Player to watch WHALE: Chad Kolarik
Kolarik is the hottest Connecticut player as of late… He has points in four of his last six games, including three multi-point games for seven points (3G-4A) in that span… Kolarik leads the Whale with 12 goals and ranks second on the team in scoring with 26 points in 31 games.
