On this date in 1998, Keith Jones scored the overtime winner to give the Flyers a 2-1 victory over the Florida Panthers.
Jones played parts of three seasons with the Flyers after coming to Philadelphia in a trade with Colorado in 1998.
He posted 18 goals and 31 assists for 49 points and 78 penalty minutes in 66 regular season games for the Flyers during the 1998-99 season, however injuries would limit Jones to just 65 games over the next two seasons.
Jones registered 27 goals and 47 assists for 74 points and 164 penalty minutes in 131 regular season games with the Flyers (1998-99 to 2000-01) and recorded 258 points (117G-141A) and 765 penalty minutes in 491 regular season games in the NHL.
