In our continuing look back at the most famous moments in Flyers history during the 1980s, we look at not just any milestone by a member of the Orange & Black.

On October 9, 1983, Bill Barber took a pass from defenseman Brad Marsh to break in all alone on Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Michel Dion. Barber went to his backhand and slid the puck underneath Dion to give the Flyers a 2-0 lead 40 seconds into the game.

The other significance?

It was Barber's 400th goal in the National Hockey League and having played his entire career in Philadelphia, his 400th in a Flyers sweater.

Barber would add his 401st goal later in that game, which the Flyers would go on to win by a 7-1 margin at the Spectrum.

No other Flyer has reached the 400 goal mark in the club's 44 seasons of play.

Barber ended his career that season totaling in at 420 goals with the next closest Flyer coming in at 369 goals (Brian Propp).
