UPDATED: Nearly 1,500 votes were cast, but the fans made their choice for the 'Best Moment of 2011-12' - HARTNELL WITH 0.9 LEFT.
The highlight reel goal earned 52.2 percent of the votes (777 to be exact) with the crowd's standing ovation to Bernie Parent coming in second with 36 percent of the vote.
In what became a theme of this past season, the Flyers won in dramatic fashion by coming back from a 0-2 deficit, this time with less than one tick left on the official game clock in overtime. (see FLY-BY: The Comeback Kids)
In front of a nationally televised audience and over 100 percent seating capacity crowd at the Wells Fargo Center, Scott Hartnell fired a shot in the high slot past Penguins goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury to give the Flyers a 3-2 win over their division rival, the Pittsburgh Penguins, with 0.9 seconds left.
Danny Briere played the role of set-up man when he carried the puck from the Flyers end, through the neutral zone and along the left boards in the Penguins end. Drawing Pittsburgh defenders towards him, Briere flew a pass to the cutting Hartnell, who would post his second goal of the game and 35th of the season.
