DAYS 17-19: Apr. 27-29

Yesterday's Game 1 I think the guys were a little anxious to get back out on the ice for some games after having a week off.

With no games it's kind of hard and it was a long week without a game, so it was nice to get back into playoff mode and grinding it out and winning games.

That first 10 minutes and the first couple shifts I was really just trying to shake the cob webs out and get my legs fully into the game.

I think every shift and the more ice time I got, the better I felt throughout the game and I think you could tell that we played the last 40 minutes of the game completely different.

It feels great to pull out another overtime game. The funny thing about that is when Danny scored that first goal, the first thought that went through my mind was that's gonna be a "no-goal" for sure, so I wasn't sure if we were supposed to jump over the boards or not.

All of us on the bench kind of looked around at each other because, you know it's overtime, and you're supposed to celebrate, so we weren't sure whether we should hop over the bench to go out. It was kind of an awkward situation.

When he scored that second one, we all knew that was it and it was great to hop out there and celebrate with the guys and enjoy it for the rest of the night.

Today I'm going to the mall with my mom. She's in town for a little bit and is going to come to tomorrow's Game 2.

I think we're going to do a little shopping and go out to dinner. For me today's a 'get out of the house' kind of day, so I'm going to enjoy it before I have to get into game-day mode early tomorrow.
