Battle-lines drawn
The NHL's second All-Star Player Fantasy Draft has come and gone and the official battle lines have been drawn.

Claude Giroux was the first Flyer taken when he was selected eighth overall and fourth by Daniel Alfredsson. He was followed immediately by teammate (now opponent) Kimmo Timonen, who was selected ninth overall and fifth by Zdeno Chara.

A little bit nervous that he was going to go last in the selection process (San Jose's Logan Couturier received that honor) Scott Hartnell was given a reprieve when he was taken by 'TEAM ALFREDSSON' 34th overall to join Giroux.

“I’m not really happy with Giroux right now, actually,” laughed Hartnell, who tweeted his way into trending worldwide during the draft.

"I was hoping I was on the blue team [Team Chara] just to play against him. Maybe toe my gloves at him a bit and see if he were willing to tussle. Now that he’s on my team, I’m not sure I’ll play with him or not.”

Team Alfredsson will be a bit stacked with Flyers. Joining them are rookies Sean Couturier and Matt Read, who were put in the same six rookie grouping on the night.

Couturier got to pick for his group which team they would play on. When asked, Couturier went with the hometown team.

The rookies however, will not play in the game. They will participate in Saturday's Skills Competition only.
