Just like you, the Flyers players are excited to see tonight’s first episode of HBO’s 24/7: Flyers-Rangers Road to the Winter Classic.

Following the team’s morning skate, they gave their thoughts on what you can expect to see now that they’ve lived with the cameras for well over a week now. HBO’s coordinating producer of the show from the Flyers perspective, Bentley Weiner, also gives us an idea of what to expect.

“I’ve never really seen myself on TV before or in any type of series like that… I don’t think any one of us knows if we’re going to be on… I’ve been mic’d up for two games and fought twice against the Rangers.”

“I think it’s been pretty cool so far. They’ve gotten an in-depth look at what goes on in the dressing room. Things are going good here so far; guys are loose in the dressing room. It’s actually been really good with them here, but there are serious times and obviously as soon as we get ready for a game it becomes serious.”
-    Wayne Simmonds

“I don’t know what to expect either. I have no idea. It’s the life of a hockey player – the traveling, the practice, the stuff that we do in meetings and when we go work out. It’s really inside stuff and it’s pretty cool.”
-    Andrej Meszaros

“I’ll be interested in seeing what they end up using. Obviously they have a ton of footage and they have to compress it into a half-hour for us and then a half-hour for the Rangers. I really looking forward to it.”
-    James van Riemsdyk

“It’s been good the last couple of weeks. We’ve been a loose team; we’ve been winning; we’ve had a lot of confidence, so hopefully that comes across.”
-    Braydon Coburn

“You don’t expect them sometimes. All of a sudden they all show up. I showed up to the rink the other day and the guy was right outside my truck and followed me all the way into the arena. It’s been quite an experience so far and it will be good to watch it on TV.”
-    Matt Read

“Fans can expect an up close and personal look at their team tonight, on the ice and off. We've now been living with the team for over a week and have been able to capture many of their personalities and stories. They've won every game since our crew arrived full time so we've been documenting a happy locker room. But of course, there's also been the unfolding of Claude Giroux's very unfortunate injury.”
