2010 Rookie camp opens Monday, Sept. 13
The Philadelphia Flyers announced today that their
Rookie Camp at The Virtua Center Flyers
Mike Testwuide signed an entry-level
contract with the Flyers in March.
Skate Zone in Voorhees, New Jersey, will open on Monday, September 13.  Twenty-nine rookies and prospects are expected to be in attendance. The camp will include three days of on-ice practice sessions and will conclude with a game between the Flyers rookies and the Washington Capitals rookies at 3pm on Thursday, September 16 at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, Virginia.

Among the players participating in this camp are 2010 draft picks Michael Chaput, Tye McGinn, Brendan Ranford, and Ricard Blidstrand; free agent acquisitions Ben Holmstrom, Andrew Rowe and Michael Testwuide; and goaltenders Sergei Bobrovsky, Adam Morrison, Nic Riopel and Brian Stewart.

On-Ice practices during Rookie Camp will take place beginning at 10 AM on September 13, 14 and 15.  All sessions are open to the public and free of charge.

On-ice sessions for the 2010 Flyers training camp at The Virtua Center Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, New Jersey will begin on Saturday, September 18. An official press release with ice times will be announced at a date in the near future.

The Flyers home opener for the 2010-11 National Hockey League regular season is Monday, October 11 at the Wells Fargo Center when they host the Colorado Avalanche.
