Carcillo Suspended for Two Games

Carcillo was issued a match penalty and game misconduct with 4:34 remaining in the game.

“I am disappointed in this decision by the league office,” said Flyers General Manager Paul Holmgren. “This was clearly an accidental high stick, and I do not believe a match penalty (for intent to injure) was the call that was warranted.”
Carcillo will miss Thursday's game in New York against the Islanders (7:00 p.m., CSN), as well as Friday's home game with the Montreal Canadiens (7:00 p.m., CSN,

In 72 games this season, Carcillo has 11 goals and nine assists for 20 points and 196 penalty minutes. It is the second time he has been suspended this season.
