(Philadelphia, PA) - The Flyers Wives Fight for Lives Carnival offers families a fun-filled afternoon at a very reasonable price, all for a good cause. The annual event will be held at the Wachovia Center on Sunday, January 10 from 12 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.

The family event enables fans to interact with their favorite Philadelphia Flyers players, as well as challenge the players to interactive games, including Wii Boxing, Beatles Rock Band, and even dunk a player in a tank.
 
This year’s Carnival features many new attractions for families with young children, including a Kids Zone, caricaturists, face painters, balloon artists, and magicians.

In addition, Flyers Hall of Fame goalie Bernie Parent will allow fans an opportunity to take a Shot-on-Goal when he gets between the pipes, along with the Flyers Goalies. Fans will also be able to take a picture with the Stanley Cup.
 
“These new features are a great opportunity for fans to interact with the players in a way that they don’t normally get to,” said Holly Cote, Carnival Co-Chair. “The Carnival is a wonderful day filled with memories and the chance to do something good by giving back to the community. We hope to see all of the Flyers fans at the Carnival to make this one the best yet.”
 
Brandywine Valley Talent’s exclusive dance bands, including the award winning Contagious, City Rhythym, and Midnight Hour, will provide high energy entertainment on the Wachovia Center’s arena floor while other of Brandywine Valley Talent’s specialty and acoustic acts and DJs will entertain throughout the carnival.
 
Fans can purchase raffle tickets to win prizes, including a team-signed 2009 Harley-Davidson donated by Barbs HD and a 2010 Toyota Corolla S donated by Tri-State Toyota Dealers Association. Mystery bags will also be available for purchase and stuffed with surprise Flyers items and some of the bags have autographed items. Fans can purchase adult or junior bags.
 
Carnival tickets, as low as $15, are available now exclusively through ComcastTIX at 1-800-298-4200, online at ComcastTIX.com, in person at the Wachovia Complex box office, or available at the door. Fans can tune in and watch the Carnival and donate through the telethon this Sunday on The Comcast Network. The Carnival will be broadcasted live on philadelphiaflyers.com and CSNPhilly.com, and will be replayed on Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia at 7 p.m. that evening.
