On this date in 2002, the Flyers traded Dan McGillis to the San Jose Sharks for defenseman Marcus Ragnarsson. 

Ragnarsson played two seasons for the Flyers, his final two years in the NHL, where he recorded 24 points (9G-15A) and 90 penalty minutes in 113 regular season games.
