Center Terry Crisp registered three assists in the contest and Bobby Clarke recorded five points (1G,4A). Clarke's four assists tied the then-team record for most assists in a game. Goaltender Bernie Parent stopped all 22 shots faced to record the win.
The 10-0 win tied the team record for most decisive shutout win, which was originally set on March 4, 1973, in a 10-0 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs. This record would later be broken on October 20, 1977, as the Flyers defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins, 11-0.
