The win tied the then team record for most decisive shutout win (The Flyers had also defeated the Scouts in Philadelphia on December 1, 1974, by a 10-0 score).
The Flyers posted a 9-0-1 record in 10 games over two seasons (1974-75 and 1975-76) against Kansas City, before the Scouts moved to Denver and became the Colorado Rockies.
This game closed out a very successful weekend for the Flyers as the Orange and Black defeated the Boston Bruins at the Spectrum on Saturday, November 1, 8-1. The Flyers' two wins on consecutive days came at a combined score of 18-1.
