1967
The Philadelphia Flyers win their first game in the National Hockey League by posting a 2-1 win against the Blues at St. Louis.
 
The game remained scoreless throughout the first period, while St. Louis posted the first goal in the second period.  The Flyers would later answer back with a late second-period goal by Lou Angotti, the team's first captain. Ed Hoekstra scored the winning goal in the third period to seal the Blues’ fate.

Over the course of the next 44 years the Flyers would go on to record 1,755 more victories.

1984
The Flyers defeated the Vancouver Canucks at the Spectrum by a score of 13-2.

The 13 goals scored by the Flyers tied the club record for most goals in a game. The Flyers scored four goals in the first period, five in the second period and four in the third period. Brian Propp and Ilkka Sinisalo each posted hat tricks in the contest; Tim Kerr scored two goals and Murray Craven, Brad McCrimmon, Dave Poulin, Rick Tocchet and Peter Zezel each rounded out the scoring with a goal each. It was only the third time in club history that two players recorded a hat trick in the same game.

The Flyers scored 13 goals on 58 shots and four of the 13 goals were on the power play.
