On the date in 1993, right wing Mikael Renberg played his first NHL game. Renberg recorded an assist in the Flyers' 4-3 win vs. Pittsburgh. His assist would be the first of 82 points that he posted during the 1993-94 season. His 82 points (38G,44A) still stands as the team record for most points in a season by a rookie.
