Clarke was sixth in the league in scoring with 116 points (27G,89A) as the Flyers compiled the best record in the NHL with 113 points (51-18-11). He was tied for first in the NHL in assists (with Bobby Orr).
Philadelphia allowed a league-low 181 goals against during the regular season. Parent posted a 2.03 goals-against average by allowing 137 goals in 4041 minutes played. He also had a 44-14-9 record.
