June 10, 1998...Phantoms Win Calder Cup

On this date in 1998, the Philadelphia Phantoms, the Flyers' American Hockey League affiliate, defeated the Saint John Flames, 6-1, to capture the Calder Cup Championship, four games to two.

The Phantoms became the fourth Flyers affiliate to capture the Calder Cup; joining the 1988 Hershey Bears and the back-to-back titles by the Maine Mariners in 1978 and 1979.
