June 5, 1980...Pat Quinn Receives Jack Adams Award
On this date in 1980, Flyers Head Coach Pat Quinn received the Jack Adams Award as NHL Coach of the Year.

Quinn led the Flyers to a 48-12-20 regular season record, Patrick Divsion Championship, Campbell Conference Championship and an NHL-record 35-game undefeated streak during the 1979-80 season, his first full season as a head coach.
