May 20, 2004...Flyers Defeat Lightning, 5-4 in overtime
In a game that featured several lead changes, Flyers left wing Simon Gagne ended the suspense with a goal at 18:18 of the first overtime period to give the Flyers a 5-4 win and force a deciding seventh game in Tampa Bay two nights later.
The Flyers led after first period by a score of 2-1 on goals by Gagne and Keith Primeau. Tamap Bay outscored the Flyers, 3-1, in the second period to take a 4-3 lead as the teams entered the second intermission.
The Flyers still trailed, 4-3, with under two minutes to play in the third period, when Primeau scored his second goal of the game at 18:11 to tie the score at 4-4.
Primeau, the Flyers' captain, recorded a point on four of the Flyers' five goals in the contest (2G,2A). Gagne (2G) and Jeremy Roenick (2A) each posted two points in the game.
