March 25, 1996...Flyers Defeat Hartford, 3-0
| Ron Hextall |
John LeClair (two) and Eric Lindros each scored goals for the Flyers in the game. Goaltender Ron Hextall stopped all 21 shots faced to record the shutout.
With the shutout, Hextall became the first Flyers goaltender to record shutouts in consecutive games since Bernie Parent, who accomplished the feat during the 1973-74 season (2-0 vs. Toronto on October 11 and 6-0 at New York Islanders on October 13).
Hextall had previously shutout the Maple Leafs in Toronto on March 23, 4-0.
