March 1, 1968...Roof Blows Off Of Spectrum
On this date in 1968, the roof at the Spectrum blew off, forcing the Flyers to play the final month of the season "on the road."
The Flyers played seven "home" games at neutral-site locations, posting a 3-2-2 record in those games. The Flyers played a game at Madison Square Garden in New York (1-1 tie against Oakland on March 3) and at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto (2-1 loss to Boston on March 7).
