February 20, 1986...Kerr Ties Esposito and Bossy

On this date in 1986, the Flyers defeated the Los Angeles Kings at the Spectrum, 5-3.
In the game, Flyers right wing Tim Kerr scored his 43rd goal of the season, his 28th power play goal of the season, at 19:19 of the first period, to give the Flyers a 2-1 lead.
With the power play goal, Kerr tied the NHL record for most power play goals in a season at 28, which was held by Phil Esposito and Mike Bossy. Kerr would finish the season with 34 power play goals, which still stands as the NHL record for most power play goals in a season.
