PRINCETON, N.J.– Trenton Titans forwardMarcel Noebels is theReebok Hockey ECHL Rookie of the Month for December.
The 20-year-old scored nine goals and added 12 assists for 21 points in 14 games during December, as the Titans went 7-4-3 in the month.
Noebels tallied at least one point in 12 of 14 games during December, and had five multi-point games, including four points (3g-1a) in a 7-6 win against Elmira on Dec. 1, three points (1g-2a) in a 5-2 win at Fort Wayne on Dec. 22 and three assists in a 5-4 loss at Reading on Dec. 28.
Under contract to the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League, Noebles leads the Titans, and all ECHL rookies, with 30 points (11g-19a) in 31 games.
A native of Toenisvorst, Germany, Noebels played the previous two seasons with Seattle and Portland in the Western Hockey League, scoring 112 points (48g-64a) in 128 games.
