In 1986, Brian Propp scored his eighth career hat trick, recording four goals in a 7-1 Flyers victory over the St. Louis Blues.
Dave Brown's goal at 5:26 of the third period, followed by Propp's fourth goal of the game at 5:33 of the third period, set a new team record for fastest two goals in a game (seven seconds).
This mark would be tied two years later when Moe Mantha and Ron Sutter scored goals seven second apart in a game against the Washington Capitals on December 27, 1988.
