On this date in 1986, the Flyers defeated the Montreal Canadiens at the Spectrum, 4-2. In the game, defenseman Doug Crossman appeared in his 200th consecutive game for the Flyers. His streak would stop at 202 straight games when he missed the Flyers' game vs. the St. Louis Blues on December 2.

In five seasons with the Flyers (1983-84 through 1987-88), Crossman would miss just eight games. In 392 regular season games as a Flyer, the Peterborough, Ontario native recorded 35 goals and 158 assists for 193 points and 255 penalty minutes.
