On this date in 2009, the Flyers inducted Dave “The Hammer” Schultz as the 20th member of the Flyers Hall of Fame.

Following the ceremony the Flyers won 3-2 over the New Jersey Devils


- The Flyers own an all-time record of 13-7-2-1.

- In 1993, the Flyers lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins, 11-5… The 11 goals allowed by the Flyers were the second most in team history.

- In 1995, the Flyers traded their 1st & 4th round draft pick in 1996 and Martin Spanhel to San Jose in exchange for Pat Falloon… The 1st round pick was later traded to the Phoenix Coyotes, who went on to select Danny Briere with the 24th overall pick.
